Update with Pelion Device Management in four steps

  1. Making changes to the example application in the Mbed Online Compiler
  2. Publishing your changed application as a firmware update
  3. Applying the firmware update to devices using a campaign
  4. Seeing the updated device resources in Pelion Device Management Portal

Step 1: Making changes to the example application in the Mbed Online Compiler

Firmware update sends a new binary to your device without you needing to connect the device to your computer over USB. You can update the application, Mbed OS, and Device Management Client.

In this example, you will use the Mbed Online Compiler to make changes to your application.

  1. Return to the Online Compiler and open the application you originally put on your device.
  2. Open main.cpp and make a change to the application. For example, you can increase how quickly the LED light blinks from 0.5 second to 1 second.
